Charges laid in connection with Langford shooting

A suspect faces a number of charges in connection with a shooting incident at a home in Langford in April.

RCMP say Deven Lambert was arrested in September and remains in custody.

Officers were called to the residence in the 2800-block of Jacklin Road on April 5th for reports of a disturbance.

The arrived to find a injured man who told then he’d been shot.

He was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

RCMP say they arrested Lambert on September 8 on an unrelated warrant issued by Victoria Police.

They say the firearm used in the crime was also recovered.

On September 27, Lambert was charged with 13 offences including discharging a firearm with intent, discharging a firearm within a residence, aggravated assault and uttering threats.
