Charges laid against woman who allegedly faked nursing credentials in View Royal

Brigitte Cleroux, 51, has a criminal record that spans three decades, four provinces and two U.S. states.

A woman who allegedly worked in numerous health clinics in B.C., Alberta, Ontario, and in the U.S. using fake credentials has had charges laid against her in View Royal.

Brigitte Cleroux had worked as a nurse in a private health clinic in View Royal for three weeks in November 2020.

She has never held a valid nursing licence or completed nursing school.

Cleroux has now been charged with one count each of using a forged document, personation with intent to gain advantage, and fraud over $5,000. There is not yet a scheduled court date for these charges.

According to CBC, she is currently in prison in Ontario for posing as a nurse in two Ottawa clinics in 2021.
