Operations at the Crofton mill will be resuming on Oct. 15, according to Unifor Local 1132.
Travis Gregson, president of Unifor Local 1132 confirmed the end of the curtailment was set for Oct. 15 but said he wasn’t given any further information.
Over a week ago, 70 workers at the local mill were temporarily laid off as part of the operations were shut down.
A downturn in newspaper demand, a growing trade war with China and a wood chip shortage following the Western Forest Products strike were all blamed for the shutdown.
