Canadian rock band Billy Talent is stopping by Victoria this fall, and they’re bringing British Columbia-based punk group Gob with them.
The Juno award-winning Billy Talent announced Monday that four Canadian stops were added to their tour, including Victoria’s Save on Foods Memorial Centre on Oct. 11. That’s after performing in Kingston on Sept. 21, with shows in Penticton on Oct. 13 and Prince George on Oct. 15.
The band is currently overseas to perform in Paris, France, this Wednesday, followed by stops in Italy and Slovenia, among other countries.
The tour is to support their sixth studio album, 2022’s Crisis of Faith, which was nominated for Rock Album of the Year at this year’s Juno Awards, reached number eight on the Billboard Canadian Albums chart and includes three singles that made it to number one on the Canadian rock music charts.
Billy Talent formed in 1993 and, through the years, fans have seen no lineup changes. They last performed in B.C.’s capital at Rock The Shores in 2014 and have seen success, with some albums achieving quadruple-platinum sales.
Meanwhile, Gob formed in Langley in 1993 and has released six studio albums since then, the latest being 2014’s The World According to Gob.
