Campbell River Search and Rescue will be taking part in the search for missing man Kelly McLeod this weekend.

McLeod was first reported missing on Oct. 7, 2019. Police said search and rescue crews will be conducting a ground search for McLeod in areas of Campbell River on Saturday.

“Search and Rescue will be covering areas Mr. McLeod was known to have visited regularly or camped in hopes of learning more information,” Const. Maury Tyre, media relations officer with Campbell River RCMP. “We ask that if members of the public come in contact with search teams that they cooperate with them to prevent contamination of areas they are searching.”

Mcleod is described as a Caucasian man in his 50s, 5’5″ with a slight build and black and grey unkempt hair.

Mcleod was last seen in the Campbellton area and is often seen riding a bicycle towing a trailer.

Anyone with information regarding McLeod’s whereabouts is asked to call Campbell River RCMP at 250-286-6221.
