Reminder from RCMP to lock doors and windows at night after break-in at Langford home while occupant slept

West Shore RCMP are investigating a break-in at a home in Langford that took place while the occupant was asleep.

Police say they the incident took place sometime overnight on Monday in the 1000-block of Goldstream Avenue.

The resident of the home says they woke up in the morning to find there had been a break-in and some personal items were missing.

“A cut screen and an unlocked window appears to be the point of entry for the suspect,” said Cst. Nancy Saggar.

We want to remind residents to lock their doors and windows at night and report suspicious activity right away.

RCMP say they have no description of the suspect.

They’re asking anyone who lives in the area and has a video surveillance system to check their cameras for suspicious activity.

If you have information about the crime or the suspect please call West Shore RCMP at 250-474-2264 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
