Boil water advisory lifted for Beddis Water Service area on Salt Spring Island

The Capital Regional District said the boil water advisory for the Beddis Water Service Area on Salt Spring Island has been rescinded.

According to the Capital Regional District , water system damage and power outages following the windstorm on Dec. 20 caused portions of the Beddis Water System on Salt Spring Island to have reduced pressure or no water service. Due to the depressurization, the boil water advisory was issued on Dec. 23.

Bacteriological sampling was conducted for the Beddis Water System and Island Health issued an all-clear notice for Wednesday.

A boil water advisory for the Highland-Fernwood Water Service Area on Salt Spring Island is still in effect.
