The Capital Regional District says the Highland part of the Highland-Fernwood water service area is under a boil water advisory.
The Capital Regional District (CRD) said the boil water advisory in the Highland Fernwood Water Service Area on Salt Spring Island has been lifted.
A recent water main break led to the advisory for the Highlands Water Service System of the Highland Fernwood Water Service Area on Salt Spring Island.
The Capital Regional District (CRD) says the advisory was issued in consultation with Island Health as a result of a water main break and subsequent repairs that occurred on Dec 29, 2019.
The CRD then lifted the boil water advisory on Dec. 31.
