Victoria has just gotten its first blow dry bar.
Blo Blow Dry Bar, located in the Bay Centre in downtown Victoria, is a salon that offers no cuts, no colour — just blowouts.
Wash, blow, and go. That’s how it works, all in 45 minutes.
The shop opened its doors on Friday and while blowouts are what they specialize in, they also do updos, bridal, and makeup.
Owner Angela Hall told CHEK News the whole point behind the bar is to fill a void in the market.
“I always use this service myself when I travel and I always thought that Victoria could use this,” said Hall. “I think the women in victoria would enjoy having a style-only bar.”
Hall said it’s meant to be a quick, convenient service when you’re on the go, have an event, or just want to feel good.
And it’s also supposed to be fun. Hall said they’re working on obtaining a liquor license to be able to serve champagne.
