The BC SPCA is offering 50 per cent off its usual adoption fees to help make room for more animals in need of care, and to help long-term residents find their fur-ever homes.
From Feb. 22 to March 3, adoption fees will be half off for all animals, including dogs, cats, rabbits and guinea pigs – as well as farm animals like goats and horses.
“We want to take advantage of this extra day to help find loving homes for all of the incredible animals in our care,” said Adrienne McBride, BC SPCA senior director of Community Animal Centres, in a release Wednesday.
“Have a look at the adoptable animals on our website and if you find one that you think would be a perfect addition to your home and family, set up a meeting by calling the centre where they are located,” she said.
The SPCA notes that all potential adopters must go through the usual application process even during the discount campaign.
The campaign is sponsored by Hill’s Pet Nutrition, according to the SPCA.
