Those sailing on B.C. Ferries Monday may face some delays, as the Easter long weekend wraps up.

Around noon Duke Point to Tsawwassen had a three sailing wait and Swartz Bay to Tsawwassen has a one sailing wait.

The Departure Bay and Langdale routes to Horseshoe Bay are also facing a one sailing wait.

Parking at Tsawwassen and Horseshoe Bay are at capacity.

“The Easter weekend is typically one of the busiest in the year,” said B.C. Ferries spokesperson Astrid Braunschmidt.

“Check the current conditions and follow us on Twitter, that’s where you will get the quickest up to date sailing times, and give yourself extra time.”

Customers should arrive early to sailings, and may still be able to book a reservation on some routes.

For the busy weekend, B.C. Ferries scheduled an additional 89 sailings, 70 of which are for the Swartz Bay to Tsawwassen route.

Extra staff, including traffic controllers, were also put on for the busy time.

On Friday however, many described the scene at some mainland terminals as chaos.

Snarled traffic, multiple waits, full parking and completely booked routes left many travelers frustrated.

The Tsawwassen and Horseshoe Bay saw traffic and lines stretch well outside their terminals.
