The Brentwood Bay to Mill Bay route has a number of cancellations because the ship struck a log in the water and sustained damage, according to Deborah Marshall, spokesperson for BC Ferries.

The mechanical issue was resolved and service will resume at 1:15 p.m. leaving Brentwood Bay.

Up-Island the Queen of Cowichan was held in dock to resolve a mechanical issue that has since been resolved. The 8:25 a.m. sailing departed 35 minutes behind schedule.
