Baby breach! A little orca is caught jumping out of the water during play.

One of the newest additions to the Transient/Biggs T46B’s orca family was caught on camera this past weekend playing with its pod.

According to Eagle Wing Tours, Baby T46B6 was breaching up a storm, jumping in and out of B.C. waters.

Onlookers were even finally able to find out the gender of the baby killer whale – it’s a girl!

Transients are known as mammal hunters that swim a huge range extending from Alaska to Northern California. The whales have a tendency to continuously be on the move, and in recent years have been listed as ‘Threatened’ under the Species at Risk Act.
