Arrest warrant issued for Nanaimo bank robbery suspect

An arrest warrant has been issued for a Nanaimo man who allegedly robbed the TD Canada Trust bank at the Terminal Park Shopping Centre on Saturday.

According to Nanaimo RCMP, at around 3:40 p.m., a man entered the TD Canada Trust bank at the Terminal Park Shopping Centre. Police said he did not produce a weapon but did indicate he had a gun in his pocket.

The suspect fled on foot after he received an undisclosed amount of cash. He was last seen heading south through the mall parking lot.

Police said Daniel William Harlow, 46, is arrestable for one count of robbery in connection with the incident. Harlow is of no fixed addressed, is considered violent and may be armed.

Harlow is described by police as a white man, 5’6,” 150 pounds with brown hair and green eyes. He has numerous tattoos, including a Grim Reaper on his upper right arm and a wolf on his upper left arm.

Anyone who sees Harlow is asked to call 911 and not approach him. If someone knows Harlow’s whereabouts, they can call Nanaimo RCMP at 250-754-2345 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
