A black bear “spotted quite a bit” at Colwood’s Olympic View Golf Club appears to understand the sport’s etiquette of remaining quiet while players putt.
A post on the club’s Facebook post shows the bear standing in some trees watching “a couple putt out on 18.”
“An experience with nature at its finest!”
The club says the resident bear has been seen around the course numerous times, and the picture was taken from the clubhouse patio.
Head professional at the course Kevin Maxwell says people are aware of the bear, but it has not been a distraction and has kept its distance.
Olympic View officials ask its golfers to stay clear if anyone comes across the bear or any other wildlife.
