A motorist had their vehicle impounded after they were allegedly found to be impaired while parked in front of a bus stop in Oak Bay.

According to an Oak Bay Police Department press release Monday, an officer found a vehicle parked, but running in front of a “bus zone” at the intersection of Foul Bay Road and Oak Bay Avenue on Dec. 1.

The driver, allegedly, admitted to the officer that they had consumed liquor.

“An approved screening device (ASD) was administered, and the driver provided two samples of his breath which showed “WARN” readings,” the release states.

As a result, the motorist was issued a three-day immediate roadside prohibition and their vehicle was impounded for three days.
