
Alex Trebek, the beloved host of the iconic game show “Jeopardy!” has died. The long-time host was 80 years old.
His passing was confirmed in a Tweet from the show’s official account, saying he passed away peacefully in his home Sunday morning, surrounded by loved ones.
Trebek was battling Stage 4 pancreatic cancer, announcing his diagnosis in March of 2019.
The seven-time Emmy Award winner had previously said in July that if his treatment for the cancer didn’t work, he would probably stop pursuing medical intervention.

He leaves behind his wife Jean Currivan and their two children.
