Two flights, inbound to Vancouver Island have been added to the province’s COVID-19 exposure list.
The BC Centre for Disease Control (BCCDC) is warning passengers who were on board Air Canada/Jazz flight 8079 from Vancouver to Victoria on Mar. 26 and Harbour Air flight 1127 from Vancouver to Nanaimo on Mar. 19 about potential exposure to the deadly virus.
The affected rows on Air Canada/Jazz flight 8079 are rows 15-20.
The affected rows on the Harbour Air flight 1127 have not been specified and the entire plan is being advised to monitor for COVID-19 symptoms.
Both flights were added to the province’s exposure list over the past few days.
Passengers on a domestic flight with a COVID-19 case should self-monitor for symptoms for 14 days and those seated identified are considered to be at a higher risk of exposure due to their proximity to the case, according to the BCCDC.
Coronavirus symptoms include fever, chills, cough or worsening of chronic cough, shortness of breath, sore throat, loss of sense of smell or taste, runny nose, headache and fatigue.
