That’s all that’s left before John Hillman crosses the finish line of his 101-trip journey around his Oak Bay residence.
Since May 4, the 101-year-old Oak Bay war veteran has been walking daily, raising money for Save the Children Canada’s COVID-19 Relief Fund.
Hillman has already exceeded his fundraising goal of $101,000 and Saturday morning he will put the finishing touches on his incredible effort.
As he prepares for the final few laps, Joe Perkins decided to go meet the man who has captivated Vancouver Islanders.
