The natural resources ministry says no tsunami is expected following a 4.6 magnitude earthquake that struck northwest of Vancouver Island Tuesday morning.
Earthquakes Canada says the earthquake happened at 6:10 a.m. and was 183 kilometres northwest of Port Hardy at a depth of 10 km.

There are no reports of damage and Earthquakes Canada says none would be expected.
