Three hotels on southern Vancouver Island have been named some of the best in Canada, according to website U.S. News Travel.
The travel website recently released its list of the top 25 best hotels in Canada, with B.C. dominating the list.
On Vancouver Island, the Magnolia Hotel and Spa was ranked the 10th best hotel in the country.
U.S. News highlighted the hotel’s central downtown location, on-site restaurant, the Courtney Room, and excellent customer service as reasons why the hotel made the list.

Meanwhile, the Wickaninnish Inn in Tofino was named the 14th-best hotel in Canada.
The oceanfront spot offers unparalleled views of the Pacific Northwest, according to U.S. News, and each room includes “balconies, fireplaces, soaker tubs and heated flooring in the bathrooms.”

The Oak Bay Beach Hotel rounded out the list, taking home the 25th spot in the rankings.
The hotel, also located along the water, was recognized for its on-site spa and mineral pools, customer service and varied food offerings, including the Snug Pub, FARO restaurant and its dining room.

U.S. News Travel put together its 2024 list by examining luxury hotels – which have average rankings of 4 to 5 stars, as well as if the hotels have earned any other independent travel awards.
