The 2023 Tour de Rock team was revealed on May 12.

The team for the 2023 Tour de Rock ride has been unveiled, which officially kicks off the fundraising for the 26th annual ride.

The 19 riders, including CHEK’s Hannah Lepine, were announced at St. Margaret’s School on Friday.

The team has been training together for months, but now the names of all 19 riders has been announced.

Ninon Daubigeon, senior manager for Cops for Cancer with the Canadian Cancer Society,  says the announcement now kicks off the official training and fundraising season for the annual ride.

“Today is the kickoff of the season, it’s the first day that the team is coming together publicly,” Daubigeon said. “It’s a huge commitment for the riders to train and to fundraise, so today is day one of that journey.”

The Tour de Rock is one of four Tour rides across B.C., but historically, it’s the Canadian Cancer Society’s largest money maker, with the generosity of Islanders is often unmatched.

Since 1997 the Tour De Rock has raised $28 million for pediatric cancer research and to help send kids to Camp Goodtimes.
