It’s the 18th year for this great big Easter Egg hunt

For many families on the island, it’s an annual tradition.

An Easter egg hunt on the holiday weekend.

Today in Saanich, hundreds of families came together to do just that.

It was all part of the Neal Estate Team’s Easter egg hunt for BC Children’s Hospital, and it’s now in its eighteenth year.

Festivities included face painting and crafts, and of course, chocolate eggs. More than twenty-thousand of them, in fact! Putting a smile on young faces, all for a good cause.

“It started out as a fun thing for my own kids and a few friends” explains event founder Ron Neal “and grew to include clients and eventually the community and now it’s just a big fun community event.”

All proceeds go to charity. Since 2005, the event has raised more than one hundred thousand dollars for BC Children’s Hospital.
