121st Island Farms Victoria Day Parade presented by Pacific FC: Watch time, route, and more

It’s almost time for a beloved Victoria tradition.

This year marks the 121st annual Island Farms Victoria Day Parade presented by Pacific FC.  The free event, run by the Greater Victoria Festival Society, is the city’s largest parade that sees more than 100,000 people. This year’s theme is “Denim and Diamonds” and everyone is encouraged to participate in the theme!

What time does the parade start? 

The 121st annual Island Farms Victoria Day Parade presented by Pacific FC will start at 9 a.m. on Monday, May 20, and will run until approximately noon.

Where can I watch the parade if I’m not going? 

Stacy Ross, Ed Bain, Jeff King and Chief Petty Officer John Haggis of the Royal Canadian Navy are co-hosting the parade live on CHEK TV. The parade will also be available on CHEK’s Facebook page, which will also be available on https://www.cheknews.ca/.

121st annual Island Farms Victoria Day Parade presented by Pacific FC route and road closures:

The parade begins at Mayfair Mall and continues along Douglas Street, finishing at the intersection of Douglas and Courtney streets.

Douglas Street at Tolmie Avenue, Blanshard Street at Finlayson Street, Burnside Road East at Finlayson Street and Burnside Road at Douglas Street will be closed at 7 a.m. until the parade is over at around 12 p.m.

Douglas Street from Burnside to Courtney will be closed at around 7:30 a.muntil around 12 p.m. when the parade is over.
