Environment Canada issues a wind warning for Greater Victoria
Environment Canada warns that strong winds that may cause damage are expected or occurring.
A frontal system is moving across the South Coast today.
Ahead of the system, southeast winds of 70 km/h will develop over Greater Victoria and the Southern Gulf Islands late this morning.
These winds will shift to strong southwesterlies late this afternoon behind the frontal system then ease this evening.
Loose objects may be tossed by the wind and cause injury or damage.
