Saanich Police warn of bear sighting spike

Saanich Police are warning the public after receiving multiple calls of bear sightings in the West Saanich Road/Sparton Road area over the past 24 hours.

Law enforcement is urging the public to be ‘bear aware’ and keep pets on a leash. The B.C. Conservation Service is aware of the sightings. If there the public has any further sightings, they’re asked to contact the Conservation Service at 250-356-9293.
