A Victoria resident is the winner of this year’s BC Children’s Hospital Choices Lottery.

The winner, identified only as A. Naylor by the lottery, will get to pick their prize out of several options, including $2.3 million in cash, or one of nine homes – with options in Sooke, Courtenay, Langley, South Surrey, Burnaby, Kelowna, Big White, Vancouver (Oakridge) or Vancouver (Queen East Park).

The winner was announced on Thursday afternoon by the BC Children’s Hospital Lottery, which thanked everyone for participating, with proceeds from ticket sales going to the BC Children’s Hospital Foundation.

Several other Islanders also came up big in the BC Children’s Hospital Lottery this year.

A Cumberland resident identified as F. Yates won the 50/50 prize, which totals just over $1.2 million.

Another Victoria resident named R. Zala also won the lottery’s Early Bird draw, netting them $290,000.

The official BC Children’s Hospital Choices lottery winner list can be found online.
