Oak Bay Police have released new photos of a woman who is suspected of breaking into someone’s home and stealing a pricey laptop.

On Friday, Greater Victoria Crime Stoppers released grainy photos of a suspect in a recent theft and break and enter in Oak Bay.

Crime Stoppers said the theft occurred at a home in the 1600-block of Wilmot Road around 9:50 a.m. on March 28.

At the time, a woman reportedly entered the home, stole a $1,400 laptop, then left the residence on foot.

Last week, Crime Stoppers said the photos were admittedly low resolution and looked like they were “taken with a potato.”

On Wednesday, Crime Stoppers said new, clearer images of the suspect were obtained by Oak Bay police.

The photos were captured on a surveillance camera, where the woman also allegedly attempted to shoplift on the same day of the break-in.

Anyone with information on the woman’s identity or whereabouts is asked to call Crime Stoppers anonymously, or online.
