Laura has been working with CHEK since 2021 and is a graduate from Langara College’s journalism program. Previously she has worked at Page One Publishing and CFAX 1070.
Municipal politics, housing and health are some main focuses, but she writes about all topics of interest to people on Vancouver Island.
One notable series she worked on is a look at the short-term rental industry in the City of Victoria and the efforts to regulate it.
A fun fact is that she lived in England for two years.
