Prior to joining CHEK News as a Digital News Editor, Ethan Morneau was Senior Reporter at Victoria Buzz and Anchor/Reporter at Vista Radio Vancouver Island, where he led the Campbell River newsroom. He also worked as a Social Media Correspondent for Bell Media.
Born and raised in Niagara, Ont., Ethan is a proud Jack Webster Award recipient who earned a scholarship to study Investigative Journalism at Poynter Institute in Florida. At 19 years old, he won a Readers’ Choice Award for his graphic design work.
Ethan’s academic background includes Radio & TV Broadcasting at Niagara College, Media Communications at Brock University and Bachelor of Photography at Sheridan College.
When not in the newsroom, you’ll likely find him dining at a local restaurant, at a movie theatre, or out with his camera capturing the Island’s beauty.
