Adam Chan is a Digital News Editor with CHEK News. Previously, he worked as an Associate Digital Editor with CTV News Vancouver Island and Victoria Buzz.
In 2023, he was a recipient of an Edward R. Murrow Award for a story he co-authored on a bank shooting that occurred in Saanich, B.C., in June 2022.
Chan was born and raised in Victoria and enjoys hearing and sharing the stories that impact his hometown, with a passion for the people who live here and the quirky tales that make up Island life.
He attended the University of Victoria and holds a degree in English Literature with a minor in Philosophy.
Outside of work, you can find Chan walking his adorable dog, Yugi, bouldering, or meeting with friends for a game of Dungeons and Dragons.
