Island Farms Victoria Day Parade: Live! Monday, May 21 at 9am

CHEK’s 61st Broadcast of the Victoria Day Parade!

Stacy Ross, Ed Bain, and Jeff King return to host the Island Farms Victoria Day Parade live from downtown Victoria on Monday, May 21 beginning at 9 a.m. on CHEK. This year marks the 120th anniversary of the parade and the 61st anniversary of the Victoria Day Parade on CHEK.

“The CHEK production team is thrilled to be celebrating our 61st anniversary of bringing the Victoria Day Parade to our viewers throughout Vancouver Island, the Lower Mainland, Washington state and around the world,” says producer Michael Woloshen. “The Island Farms Victoria Day Parade is the biggest and most anticipated television production we do each year and we’re delighted to share such a happy event with all our viewers and Facebook followers.”

“This CHEK tradition is one of my favourite events of the year”, says CHEK News anchor Stacy Ross. “I’ve grown up watching and loving the parade. It’s so much fun and it’s such an honour to play host again this year.”

This year’s parade features over one hundred entries and leading the way, by tradition, is the Canadian Military contingent. Joining Stacy and Ed is Chief Petty Officer John Haggis from CFB Esquimalt, providing expert colour commentary on the military entries.

In addition, viewers from around the world can enjoy the parade live on the CHEK Facebook page.

The Island Farms Victoria Day Parade is being rebroadcast Sunday, May 27 at 3 p.m. on CHEK.
