Sharon Fraser has been revealed as the winner of the $18 million Lotto Max draw on Feb. 23, 2024.

A woman in Ucluelet has been revealed as the winner of the Feb. 23 Lotto Max draw with an $18 million prize.

Sharon Fraser logged onto her PlayNow.com account to check her ticket while she was eating breakfast, and got a jolt of energy that wasn’t from her morning coffee.

“I was at my breakfast table with my husband and son,” recalled Fraser. “Every Saturday morning, I check the [Lotto Max] results. I thought it was a free play and said, ‘they’ve made a mistake.’ I called customer support and they verified everything!”

Fraser says her kids and husband didn’t believe her at first.

Though she has no solid plans for how to spend her winnings, buying property, a new car and taking trips on her sailboat are on the table for the avid sailor.

The draw occurred on Feb. 23, where someone matched all winning numbers in the Lotto Max: 08, 16, 24, 28, 40, 41, 47 with the bonus number 10.

The winner will be unveiled at a news conference at 11:30 a.m., hosted by the BCLC.

BCLC says the odds of matching all seven numbers are 1 in 33,294,800.
