Transient killer whales delight onlookers in Oak Bay

Two transient killer whales spotted Monday night in the waters off Oak Bay.

A picture-perfect evening on the south coast became even more thrilling for some people looking out to the waters of Oak Bay.

Two transient killer whales delighted a small crowd that gathered to watch them swim just a few feet from the rocks and Adirondack chairs at Kitty Islet in McNeill Bay.

Shortly afterwards, the two whales swam past Trial Islands.

On Friday, a transient orca paid a visit to Victoria’s Inner Harbour, identified by The Orca Conservancy as the eldest calf of Bigg’s Killer Whale T065A.
