Police continue search for missing woman in Beecher Bay area

Raymona Peter, 45, was last seen in the Beecher Bay area on Sept. 30.

Sooke RCMP say they are continuing to look for a missing Indigenous woman in the Beecher Bay area.

Raymona Peter, 45, was last seen on Sept. 30 at 10 a.m., walking west from the Scia’new First Nation in the Beecher Bay area of East Sooke.

Peter is described as an Indigenous woman, 5’3″, with black hair and brown eyes.

She was last seen wearing a blue and white checkered shirt with a black tank top underneath, black tights, and black runners with white designs (as depicted in the photograph below).

Anyone who has seen Raymona Peter or has information on her whereabouts is asked to call the Sooke RCMP at 250-642-5241.

Police say the search and rescue operation for Peter continues today in Beecher Bay.
