Nanaimo RCMP seeking suspects in early morning break and enter

Nanaimo RCMP are looking for two suspects who were caught on surveillance footage breaking in to Winners – HomeSense several hours before the store opened.

On June 12, at 6:07 a.m., surveillance footage caught the two suspects entering the store at 6950 Island Highway North.

The two headed directly for the jewelry case, and one was captured on footage leaving the store with several suitcases. The RCMP say it is not yet known what the estimated loss is.

Officers responded to the store after the alarm was activated at 6:12 a.m., and noted the front sliding glass door had been breached.

Inside the store, the officers found several glass cases containing jewelry had been broken, with most contents stolen.
