Extra resources from across Canada and abroad have been called in to help B.C. fight the 446 wildfires burning throughout the province.
Sixty-five firefighters from New Zealand, 62 from Mexico and 20 from Alberta and Saskatchewan will arrive by Monday to help in the efforts.
Another 10 support staff from Saskatchewan and 25 from Australia will also join.
Four Canadair CL-415 water-skimming aircraft from Quebec will work alongside the 150 other aircraft already fighting the fires in the province.
The additional resources will accompany the over 2,200 people currently engaged in the Province’s wildfire response, including B.C. Wildfire Service firefighters, government staff, forest industry personnel and contractors.
