A 37-year-old Langford man already wanted for alleged death threats could face more charges following a traffic stop Wednesday.

West Shore RCMP says around 3 p.m., its bike unit saw a vehicle leave a home known to officers for criminal activity in Langford.

During a traffic stop, officers identified the man, and lone occupant of the vehicle, to have outstanding arrest warrants stemming from a previous West Shore RCMP investigation for alleged death threats.

During the arrest, Mounties discovered and seized a collapsible baton, a modified airsoft pistol with a silencer, and suspected drug substances.

The man, who West Shore RCMP says is well known to police, was due in court Thursday morning.

Police say a report will be forwarded to Crown Counsel to consider charges related to the weapons and drugs seized.
