The B.C. government is alerting drivers to expect delays along Highway 14 this upcoming weekend.

In a release sent out Friday afternoon, the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure noted that paving work will result in the roadway being down to single-lane alternating traffic.

The construction work will be located along Highway 14, in Sooke, between Otter Point Road and Atherley Close Road.

The paving will take place from Saturday, Nov. 21 to Monday, Nov. 23.

“Drivers can expect delays of 15 to 20 minutes,” a statement from the government reads.

Business access will remain open with some restrictions due to paving, notes the release.

The Ministry of Transportation also emphasizes that “drivers are reminded to obey construction zone speed limits and the direction of traffic control personnel.”
