All of the nine London Drugs locations on Vancouver Island have reopened as of Tuesday morning, and almost all others across the country have as well.

On Monday, the company said it had a goal of having all the stores reopened by the end of day on Tuesday.

A count of the list of reopened stores on the London Drugs website on Tuesday morning indicates that 77 of the 79 stores have reopened.

On Vancouver Island, the company shows that all nine Vancouver Island locations are open — including the Colwood Corners Shopping Centre at 1907 Sooke Road, Campbell River at 1400 Dogwood Street, Courtenay at 2751 Cliffe Avenue, Duncan at 119 Trans-Canada Highway, Harris Green Village at 911 Yates Street in Victoria, Nanaimo North Town Centre at 4750 Rutherford Road, Port Place Shopping Centre at 650 Terminal Avenue in Nanaimo, Saanich Centre at 3995 Quadra Street, and Tillicum Centre at 3170 Tillicum Road in Saanich.

Although the stores will reopen, the company says it will not be able to fill new prescriptions for customers.

“As we have communicated over the last few days, our store systems are necessarily complex, as is the need to connect with multiple third-party provider systems, all with different requirements to ensure a smooth and safe reconnection,” the company says in a statement. “We hope to have this rectified as soon as possible.”

London Drugs says it continues to work to bring all of its services and products back to regular capacity.

“We are only turning on systems after we and our external third-party cybersecurity experts have taken all recommended steps to ensure we have full confidence that the systems being used are safe and secure,” the statement says.

London Drugs says there continues to be no evidence that customer databases were compromised.
