West Shore RCMP says the paint was still wet when officers arrested two 12-year-old girls identified by witnesses of spray painting the rear wall of The Brick store on Jacklin Road in Langford.

West Shore RCMP says two 12-year-old girls still had paint all over their hands when officers arrested them for mischief after reports of property being spray painted in Langford.

Mounties responded to a witness report of spray painting happening to the rear wall of The Brick store on Jacklin Road in Langford Tuesday night around 7:30 p.m.

“Our officers attended the scene and the spray painting was still taking place,” West Shore RCMP Cst. Nancy Saggar said in a release.

“Out of a group of six youths, witnesses identified two 12-year-old girls as being the spray painters. The girls were arrested for mischief under $5,000 and released to their parents.”

RCMP say both are awaiting court dates and a one of the boys in the group also got a $230 ticket for a minor in possession of a cannabis accessory.

The complaint came two days after West Shore RCMP arrested two different girls, aged 12 and 13-years-old, after witness reported them spray painting property near the bus stop exchange on Station Avenue.
