Saanich Fire deploys ATVs to recover cyclist with head injury

Saanich Fire says that they have deployed ATV teams Saturday afternoon to assist a report of a cyclist suffering from a head injury.

Representatives from Saanich Fire say that the cyclist was injured in the Hartland Mountain Bike Park.

Rescue teams located the cyclist on the Green Ribbon Trail, a double-black diamond route with a 78m downhill decline.

Trailforks, a trail management system website, says the Green Ribbon Trail “features a tricky rock face or chute of doom option, a natural rock jump and advanced mandatory log drops.”
