Nugget, a Pomeranian puppy who was in a camper attached to a truck when it was stolen, has been found safe.

In a post on Facebook, Nuggets owner said the puppy was surrendered to the Brooks Animal Shelter in Brooks, Alberta.

Nugget was inside a camper on the back of a pickup truck while his owner, who did not want to be identified, installed insulation at a building on Spencer Road near Goldstream Avenue.

The owner discovered the truck was gone around 6 a.m. on May 25. Later the same day the camper was discovered dumped in Shawnigan Lake, but Nugget was not inside.

On June 7, ROAM – Reuniting Owners with Animals Missing posted on Facebook that Nugget was on his way home to his owner.

The owner thanked everyone who helped spread the word or kept an eye out for Nugget while he was missing.
