Police ask for help to identify hoverboard theft suspect in Langford

West Shore RCMP is asking for help to identify this person, a suspect in a theft at the Superstore in Langford Dec. 29.

West Shore RCMP is asking for the public’s help to identify a theft suspect for a crime that took place nearly a month ago in Langford.

Police say two Segway hoverboards worth $300 were stolen from the Langford Superstore at 835 Langford Parkway Dec. 29.

Video surveillance shows a male suspect passing the cashier and walking out the store carrying the hoverboards.

The suspect is described by police as a male between the ages of 25 and 35, about 5’10” tall, a heavy build, dark brown hair and was wearing a grey hoodie, grey sweat pants and grey shoes.

Anyone with information about the suspect is asked to call West Shore RCMP at 250-474-2264 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
