Outhouse’s undervalued play ‘lights a fire’ on post-junior journey

WATCH: For the past four seasons, Griffen Outhouse has wowed the crowd at the Save On Foods Memorial Centre. With the Victoria Royals’ elimination at the hands of the Vancouver Giants this week, Outhouse’s WHL career has come to an end.

The 21-year-old from Williams Lake B.C. now heads to an uncertain hockey future; he has the option of turning pro or going to the collegiate route.

While Outhouse went through the NHL draft twice without being selected, Griffen’s coaches and teammates believes he will get a shot at the pro level in North America, and despite not being billed as the prototype 6’3” netminder that the NHL looks for.

The Royals brass believe there’s a need for a goaltender of Outhouse’s skill-set in the pros.
