Officials across Canada and their shenanigans on April Fools

CHEK

Twitter was packed Sunday with eyebrow-raising tweets from Canadian officials, including everything from police birds to mysterious aquatic creatures.

The day kicked off with rather concerning weather warning from Environment Canada, advising of airborne moose from tornados across the country.

The Canadian Coast Guard then joined in with a tweet showing what looks like a giant mermaid — asking for Fisheries and Oceans Canada’s help.

Fisheries and Oceans Canada did not disappoint with their response, saying that they are checking in with their scientists. They then pulled an “archival photo” from 1934.

The BC RCMP and Victoria police seemed to share the idea of integrating animals into their forces, with the announcement of police bunnies, ducks, and pigeons.

The BC RCMP went as far to even published a full media release on their new “winged partners”

Ever wonder how cowboys from the Calgary Stampede keep their hats on while on horseback? well, Canada’s official twitter has that covered.
