The car caught fire around 9 a.m. Wednesday.

A Langford driver was in for quite a shock on Wednesday morning when their vehicle erupted into flames.

Firefighters were called to Landing Lane around 9 a.m. after witnesses flagged down a patrolling RCMP officer and told them of the fire.

Mounties say the driver of the car pulled over after they noticed smoke coming from their car.

Just minutes later, the vehicle was “fully engulfed in flames,” according to the West Shore RCMP.

Langford Fire Rescue Cpt. Matt Fisher says no one was injured in the blaze.

“It was a single-vehicle car fire. We showed up and the vehicle was fully involved,” he said.

Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire, which burnt through the Range Rover.

Fisher says the cause of the fire is still under investigation.

“Nothing obvious at the scene, there was the smell of an electrical fire, but there were no obvious signs,” he said.
