A motorcycle rider was taken to hospital after a collision in Victoria on Nov. 19, 2018.
A motorcycle rider was taken to hospital Monday morning after a collision at Bay Street and Rock Bay Avenue.
The collision between the motorcycle and a black SUV occurred just before noon. A motorcycle was seen underneath the SUV following the crash.

The motorcycle rider was treated by paramedics at the scene then transported to hospital. His family says he is in stable condition but suffered two broken vertebrae. They believe he has a few months of recovery ahead of him.
The driver of the SUV did not appear to be injured in the crash.
Victoria police are still investigating but say they expect the SUV driver to be charged with fail to yield on left turn under the Motor Vehicle Act. The violation comes with a $167 fine and two demerit points.
