Sooke RCMP say a small quantity of meth, brass knuckles, balaclavas and a pellet gun were seized after a stolen vehicle was stopped on Tuesday afternoon.

Police said at 12:15 p.m., Sooke RCMP received a report of a suspicious vehicle on George Lane in Sooke. Before officers arrived, a witness reported seeing one of the people in the vehicle holding a pistol. Shortly afterwards, the officers also discovered the vehicle was reported stolen out of Nanaimo.

Police found the vehicle and stopped the vehicle in a residential area. Three men inside the vehicle were arrested. The meth, brass knuckles, balaclavas and a pellet gun were seized when the vehicle was searched.

Police said the pellet gun looked like a real pistol.

One of the men was from the area and was getting a ride home due to mobility issues, police said. He was released without charges. The other two men were from Nanaimo and aged 29 and 28. They were held in custody for a provincial court appearance in Colwood. The charges police are recommending include weapons possession, possession of stolen property, possession of a controlled substance and various breach charges.

The stolen vehicle was returned to its owner.
