Man dies in workplace incident near Holberg, coroner says

The BC Coroners Service is investigating a workplace fatality on northern Vancouver Island.

According to the BC Coroners Service, a man in his 40s died at a forestry operation near Holberg on Sunday. Holberg is approximately 38 kilometres west of Port Hardy.

WorkSafeBC confirmed Monday that they were notified Sunday afternoon about a serious workplace incident at a forestry operation near Holberg. WorkSafeBC’s investigations team is at the site.
